Art Guild members took advantage of a beautiful sunny Sunday to paint among the attractions of the Carleen Bright Arboretum.  Our next regular meeting will be May 1, when Don Magid will present.  For more details, see the Calendar page.

 

Be sure to see our exhibit at the Hippodrome, 724 Austin Ave., during April.  Some of the entries appear on our Exhibitions page.  We will be removing the April exhibit and installing the May exhibit between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. on April 29.  There will be no particular theme for May.  You may enter as many as three recent works, without limit to subject matter.  Please do not bring paintings larger than 16 x 20 (plus frame) as the space is limited.  If you want to enter your art in May, call Ellen Foster at 756-0347 or Charleen Isbell at 755-9806.  Dues must be current to participate.

Hippodrome

Art Guild artists are exhibiting their work at Waco's Hippodrome.  The paintings, sculptures, and other works are visible 24 hours a day through the glass storefront.  Look for them when you attend a Hippodrome event or anytime you are in the downtown area.  For the month of April, we are exhibiting works portraying water and those featuring pets.  Three first place ribbons were awarded in different categories to Charleen Isbell, Jean Larkie and Sue Young.  A sampling of the artists appears below.  Altogether, there are 30 works by 11 artists.
