Following retirement from public school teaching in 2006, Sandy Overcast has returned to her first love of the arts. Her husband set her up with her own woodshop and studio. Here she makes birdhouses, unique barn wood crosses, and frames. In the adjacent studio her paintings line the walls with a usual work in progress propped upon a wooden easel which came from her mother's love of oils.

She became inspired taking one of her paintings to a family reunion as a white elephant gift. Not only was her painting a hit but she ended up getting an order for three more paintings. Since then she has returned to the classroom at McLennan Community College and has also been painting with a group each week in Waco. Most of her works have been for sure love and gifts for friends and relatives.

Sandy thanks you for visiting her gallery. If you are interested in purchasing any of her art work, she can be reached by email at s.overcast@hotmail.com. Photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.
