About the Artist

     The Art Guild of Central Texas is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting an interest in the artwork of local artists, promoting appreciation of the visual arts in Waco and the surrounding area.  We exist to educate, to inspire people to engage in producing art, to enhance their skills, and to provide opportunities for local artists to display and market their art. 

     We welcome participation by anyone with an interest in art, especially those who would like to become artists, or who would like to become better artists.  Our efforts include demonstrations, workshops, public exhibits and this website which includes virtual galleries of member art.

We are open to all visual art media.  We currently have members working in pencil, charcoal, colored pencils, pastels, watercolors, acrylics, oils, ink, collage, porcelain painting, photography and embroidery designs.
