Julian Rosas conducted a workshop on Perspective Drawing at 1:30 on Sunday, May 21st at the Garden Room of the Central Presbyterian Church, 9191 Woodway Dr., Woodway TX.

Julian is an artist, a Makerspace shop attendee, and youth minister. He received a BFA in Studio Art back in 2020 from Texas Tech University and is versed in several artistic mediums and techniques.

He owns and runs a small business named Shway Designs where he sells his work and other handmade items. His highest goal is to help community fellowship grow in the art community of Waco and to one day run a gallery and store front. He is currently on the Waco Art Walk Committee. He also has judged art shows, recently including a high school in Harker Heights.

“A Summer Day in Waco”

Julian gave each of us 2 packs of information for reference. He explained the information in more detail along the way during the workshop.

Julian then walked us through exercises consisting of 1 point and 2 point perspectives.

We all were busy with our sketchpads with pencils and rulers while he played some beautiful music and walked to each table with helpful advice.

It was so great to brush up on our knowledge of perspective. Julian is a very good and patient teacher!

It was very obvious to us that Julian is going to accomplish great things in the Art Scene of Waco.
